New: CLI preview, bring your own keys, product and pricing updates

We just shipped several big and small updates:

Get started faster from the CLI

We've made it much easier to create a voice AI agent straight from the command line. You can preview Layercode CLI now by running:

npx @layercode/cli init

The CLI walks you through creating a new project, setting up your pipeline configuration, and deploying your first voice agent.

Bring your own keys (BYOK)

You can now use your own API keys for supported providers. This gives you:

• Direct billing with your preferred providers
• Volume discounts you've negotiated
• Full control over your API usage

To enable BYOK, go to your team settings and add your API keys for each provider you want to use.

Pricing updates

We've simplified our pricing to make it easier to understand what you're paying for:

• Per-second billing for active conversation time
• Silence is free — you only pay when the agent is speaking or listening
• No hidden fees — what you see is what you pay

• Faster pipeline deployment — changes now propagate in under 30 seconds
• Improved session recording — higher quality audio and better transcript sync
• New dashboard analytics — track latency percentiles and error rates
